Recently, Zhujiang Brewery has joined forces with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to sign a new phase of industry-university-research collaboration projects, delving deeper into the enhancement of beer taste. During the visit of the TUM research team, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on product improvement directions, product evaluation methods, and sensory evaluation team training, striving to infuse every sip with the craftsmanship that meets the taste expectations of contemporary consumers.

Since its establishment and commissioning in 1985, Zhujiang Brewery has adhered to international standards, expanded international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, and has maintained an 18-year partnership with TUM. Together, they have conducted fundamental research, technological breakthroughs, and applied research results on key technologies such as beer flavor, yeast performance, and beer quality enhancement, winning 19 science and technology progress awards.

In recent years, Zhujiang Brewery's industry-university-research "circle of friends" has continued to expand, deepening cooperation with domestic prestigious research institutes such as the China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries, Institute of Microbiology, Guangdong Academy of Science, and China National Analytical Center, Guangzhou, to jointly explore beer quality optimization. In 2025, Zhujiang Brewery will persist in the strategy of "independent innovation + open collaboration", initiating 12 new research projects on fundamental and cutting-edge beer brewing technologies, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to innovation and breakthrough.

Zhujiang Brewery boasts a National Enterprise Technology Center, a Postdoctoral Research Workstation, a China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, as well as 8 High and New Technology Enterprises, 8 Provincial Specialized and New Enterprises, 8 Provincial Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and 22 innovation platforms. Its innovation matrix continues to expand, supporting the company's relentless pursuit of quality with solid scientific research capabilities.

Empowered by scientific and technological achievements, Zhujiang Brewery's first Chinese draft beer produced in 1997 has undergone continuous upgrades and iterations. Zhujiang Brewery has taken the lead in formulating the group standard for "Draft Beer," winning consumer recognition for its unique flavor, innovative spirit, and international standards. According to the market position certification issued by Shangpu Consulting Group, Zhujiang Draft Beer ranked first in national draft beer sales in 2023. With unremitting scientific and technological innovation, Zhujiang Brewery has leveraged technology to drive the application of research achievements, developing and stockpiling over 50 outstanding products in recent years, including the ultra-premium beer "Nan Yue Hu Zun" as well as "Supra White Beer" "Pomelo-flavored Cold Brew Beer" "New England IPA Beer" and more. It has won over 50 honors in domestic and international competitions and has secured awards for seven consecutive years at the China International Beer Challenge, the largest professional beer competition in Asia.

Zhujiang Brewery continuously optimizes its multi-level professional and technical talent echelon. It annually selects outstanding brewers to study and further their education in Germany and vigorously cultivates innovation studios to support the innovation of model workers and technicians, effectively stimulating talent vitality. This collaboration between Zhujiang Brewery and TUM not only involves technological breakthroughs but also aims to cultivate technical leaders capable of undertaking larger-scale scientific research projects. Through a virtuous cycle model of "projects nurturing talents and talents promoting projects", it cultivates a new generation of brewers with innovative thinking and an international perspective. Currently, Zhujiang Brewery has trained 21 international brewers and 8 postdoctoral fellows, supplying high-skilled technical talents for fields such as beer microbial control technology, flavor regulation technology, brewing new technologies, and new product development.

This year, Zhujiang Brewery has implemented requirements to strengthen the construction of a high-skilled talent team in the new era, successfully obtaining national accreditation for occupational skill level evaluation qualifications in five job types across three categories: beer tasters, brewers, and beer brewing workers. It contributes to the construction of a highland for skilled talents in Guangdong and the sustainable development of the beer industry.
